Fixed, in the

… corner of my mind

the secrets of her mouth
grin with flowers
and i can’t stop
my urges, because
i am pale
&her smile’s
instantaneously fuchsia,
laughing like the raging
sun, coming-on-too-strong

her exalted rosebud
lips entice
… mad, mad desire

  1. OH! There is so much E.E. Cummings love in this. Love.It.
    So much THIS:
    “the secrets of her mouth
    grin with flowers”

“lady I swear by all flowers”…I love this.

  2. Wow! ‘the secrets of her mouth grin with flowers and ‘her smile’s instantaneously fuchsia’, ‘lady I swear by all the flowers’ is Shakespearean. A sumptuous poem.

  3. “i am pale/&her smile’s/instantaneously fuchsia” – wonderful description. Like one of those photographs where all is black and white except for one item.
