Mute Point

I forget love
is a tender, mis-
re-membered
thing.
Delicate words
convince my mouth
it’s mute.
Yet
here again,
I probably
misspeak.

    1. Audrey, I appreciate you connecting with this one. I had piddled and pondered yesterday while I wandered in and out of any real lucid thoughts. Words can be finicky that way. I’m honored that you will follow, and I will check out your place forthwith. 🙂

  1. What a brilliant poem! Excellent play on words ‘moot’ and ‘mute’, and all so well tied in with forgotten meanings and your final word: misspeak. I really enjoyed this.
