Everyone’s Daughter

She hovered there
By the front door
Accused of slipping
Into her own life-
Spinning off
To the moon.
And I got stuck
In her blue galaxy
Eyes- in a wrinkle
In time where she
Became me. And my
Mother sat crying.

  1. Oh, that got me in the heart. I can see forward to my son leaving, backward to my mother crying, and I sort of feel suspended in the middle, all with your wonderful words 🙂
