To the Mountain

To the mountain I plead,

I am one of your own!

Do not let me be taken up

In the lips of liars–

Their mouths are far from you.

Exhume my stony heart,

Engrave your truth within.

Even so, Revise my marrow.

    1. Ya, I skipped the whole episode of Moses writing the 10 commandments on stone tablets and went to what I remembered about our hearts not being stone anymore, but flesh with His word written there.

      1. That’s why this sounded like a sermon to me, had a very religious Sunday-in-the-pulpit-preachy feel to it. Very biblical. Nice.
