Weekly Writing Challenge: Haiku Catchoo!

Still thankful! Her type of Leukemia has a very high cure rate with treatment. Less than 30 years ago, this was not the case. Like a rose bush cut back, we pray for vigorous regrowth once chemotherapy is complete.

  1. A sad but hopeful poem. I always feel weird pressing the “like” button when it comes to dealing with more difficult topics such as this. I hovered over this poem a long time; it’s amazing how many emotions can be conjured with just 17 syllables.

    • I know what you mean about pushing the like for sucky subjects! That’s why I felt the need to add a post script to the spare, stripped down 17 syllables….not sure I even “like” it either….but peace can pass all understanding.
